Summary |
Contains thirty-three poems, total of sixty-three pages and written for the servicemen. The first page is the forward, and someone wrote in pencil "Ruth, Aug, 1st, 1919". It was published September 9th, 1918 in Nashville, TN, and the poems were selected by "Mr. John Trotwood Moore, Judge Robert Ewing, Mr. Alfred E. Howell, and Rev. Prentice A. Pugh. The last page is blank and someone wrote in ink, "Granddad Hall, Aug., 1st 1919" The back cover is another short poem, and the lower half is written, "This Book is presented to you by John Trotwood Moore", Signature is stamped, below the signature is a typed name, "Robert Grimshaw", so it is possible that this book belonged to Grimshaw. |
