  1. The book has photos of the commanding officers, enlisted personnel during training and graduation from the San Diego Naval Training Center (NTC). Captain Arthur T. Emerson, Jr, was listed in the book as being the commanding officer of NTC. He commanded San Diego NTC from June 1970 until his retirement on July 1, 1972; thus the year range must be 1970 to 1972.

  2. This book, originally published in 1895 is a complete history of the Civil War and "the causes that led up to the great conflict." It is said to have been created from the official records of the War Department and illustrated "with fac-simile photographic reproductions of the official war photographs take at the time by Mathew Brady" It is apparently very important that the illustrations are reproductions of the "Brady War Photographs"

  3. A newspaper published on April 26, 1945, Volume 2 Number 1. The paper has eight pages, and contains battlefield stories about several different operations in Europe, and photos on page five, taken during WWII in Europe. The back page has jokes and a photo of Esther Williams, her name is written on the photo. The signature looks to be just a part of an already signed photo and not original to the newspaper.

  4. This manuscript is a photographed copy of J. S. McCulloch's experience while a prisoner of the Confederate Army, at Camp Ford, Texas, during the last year of the Civil War. On inside of front cover is the inscription "Presented to Anna Blauchard Anderson by Mary Craig Nixon, Grand-daughter of Rev J. S. McClulloch 2/6/46"

This book contains several stories leading up to D-Day and through the end of the war in Europe. Written in pen on back of front cover is"Cpl. Henry E. Lapinski, 42242006, Sqd B, U,S,A.F.E., APO 633, C/O PM N.Y.Stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany, 11/29/1945 through 02/04/1949

  7. Book titled: "To Bizerte with the II Corps". The book is the first of a series called "American Forces in Action", and documents the military story of the campaigns and battles in which military personnel have served (it notes that it is specifically designed for those wounded in hospitals). It is 64 pages long, and includes various maps in the back.

  10. Contains thirty-three poems, total of sixty-three pages and written for the servicemen. The first page is the forward, and someone wrote in pencil "Ruth, Aug, 1st, 1919". It was published September 9th, 1918 in Nashville, TN, and the poems were selected by "Mr. John Trotwood Moore, Judge Robert Ewing, Mr. Alfred E. Howell, and Rev. Prentice A. Pugh. The last page is blank and someone wrote in ink, "Granddad Hall, Aug., 1st 1919" The back cover is another short poem, and the lower half is written, "This Book is presented to you by John Trotwood Moore", Signature is stamped, below the signature is a typed name, "Robert Grimshaw", so it is possible that this book belonged to Grimshaw.

Bush speech to the nation and other stories of the beginning of the Gulf Way.

This was the second day of Operation Desert Storm and this newspaper has articles about U.S. bombers dropping bombs on Iraq and Kuwait, and an article about Iraq shooting eight missiles into Israel. Has photos of U.S. troops, planes and maps of the region.

  14. Rocky Mountain News with the headline "Iraq ready to release POW's". The cover also has photos of seventeen of the 3,000 American service men and women from Colorado sent to Iraq and it has a sixteen page commemorative section honoring them and the American victory in the Gulf War. Several articles inside the newspaper; one is Iraq announcing it is ready to release American prisoners of war.
